Who I am
I am Donna Broomham, owner of The Hollow Reed website.
Website: https://donnabroomham.com
For the purposes of UK data-protection law, I am responsible for deciding how personal information collected through this website is used. You can contact me through the Contact page on this website.
Information I collect
When you contact me through the website, I may receive your name, email address, telephone number and any information you choose to include in your message.
If you enquire about or book a tarot reading, I may also keep the details needed to arrange the appointment, communicate with you and process the booking.
Comments
If you leave a comment, the website collects the information entered in the comments form, along with your IP address and browser information to help detect spam.
An anonymised version of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. If your comment is approved, your profile picture may appear publicly beside it. You can read the Gravatar privacy policy at: https://automattic.com/privacy/
Cookies
This website uses small files called cookies to help it function correctly and remember certain preferences.
If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This means you won’t need to enter those details again when leaving another comment. These optional cookies last for one year.
WordPress also uses temporary and essential cookies on its login and administration pages. These are primarily relevant to authorised website administrators and help maintain login sessions and display preferences.
Some content embedded from other websites may place its own cookies. More information about this appears in the Embedded content from other websites section below.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages and posts on this website may contain embedded content, such as videos, audio players, images or social-media posts.
When you view or interact with embedded content, the organisation providing it may collect information about you, use cookies or monitor your interaction in the same way as if you had visited its website directly. This may include additional tracking if you have an account with that service and are already logged in.
I don’t control the cookies or information collected by these external services. You can check the relevant provider’s privacy policy for further details.
Who I share your information with
I don’t sell or rent your personal information.
I may share limited information only when necessary with services used to operate the website and provide bookings. These may include:

- General enquiries that don’t lead to a booking may be kept for up to 12 months.
- Booking, payment and transaction records may be kept for up to six years when needed for tax, accounting or legal purposes.
- Information that is no longer required will be deleted or securely disposed of.
Your data-protection rights

- Ask me to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask me to delete your information
- Ask me to restrict how your information is used
- Object to certain uses of your information
- Ask for information you provided to be transferred where applicable

Where your information may be processed
Comments may be checked using an automated spam-detection service.
Some services used by this website—including website hosting, spam protection, WhatsApp and any payment provider—may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, I expect those providers to use appropriate safeguards for handling personal information in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
